This Privacy Policy explains how instant.gr (“Instant GR”) uses Google APIs and handles Google user data when customers connect their Gmail or Google Workspace accounts to their hosted websites or e‑shops via the Instant GR GMailer OAuth app.
Instant GR
Website: instant.gr
Contact email: hello@instant.gr
Instant GR provides website hosting, e‑shop hosting, and mailserver hosting services for customers in the EU/EEA.
Instant GR allows hosting customers to connect their Gmail or Google Workspace account so that their hosted website or e‑shop can send transactional and notification emails (for example, order confirmations, contact messages, password reset emails) using their own mailbox. This is implemented using an OAuth app named “Instant GR GMailer” in Google Cloud.
When a customer connects their Gmail or Google Workspace account through the Instant GR GMailer OAuth app, Google may share the following with Instant GR for the sole purpose of enabling email sending:
The connected Google email address.
OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens that permit the hosted site to send email from that account via the Gmail API.
Instant GR does not request or receive permission to read the customer’s emails or mailbox contents. The integration is only allowed to send emails from the connected account and cannot access or read messages in the customer’s inbox.
Instant GR does not collect Google account passwords.
Instant GR uses the OAuth tokens and associated email address only to:
Authenticate with Gmail or Google Workspace via Google’s APIs.
Send emails from the connected mailbox on behalf of the customer’s hosted website or e‑shop.
We do not use this data for advertising, profiling, data mining, or any other secondary purposes. We do not sell Google user data.
Tokens and configuration details are stored only as long as the Gmail/Google Workspace connection via Instant GR GMailer remains active for the customer’s site. If a customer disconnects the integration or requests deletion, we will remove the stored tokens and configuration associated with their site within a reasonable time.
Customers can request deletion, review, or correction of their connection data by contacting us at hello@instant.gr and providing sufficient information to identify their site and connected account.
Instant GR does not share Google user data obtained via this integration with third‑party subprocessors other than Google itself as the email provider and API operator. We operate our own hosting and mailserver infrastructure and do not transfer Google user data to external marketing platforms or analytics providers as part of this Gmail integration.
Instant GR takes reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect OAuth tokens and configuration data from unauthorized access or disclosure, including limiting access to this data to necessary systems and staff and using secure channels to communicate with Google’s APIs.
Connecting a Gmail or Google Workspace account is optional. Customers must explicitly grant permission through Google’s OAuth consent screen for the “Instant GR GMailer” app before their hosted site can send emails via Gmail. They can revoke this access at any time from their Google Account security settings or by disconnecting the integration in their site configuration.
Use of Gmail and Google Workspace is also subject to Google’s own Privacy Policy and terms. Customers should review Google’s Privacy Policy for information about how Google collects and processes data from their accounts.
Instant GR may update this Privacy Policy when necessary to reflect changes in our services, Google’s requirements, or applicable law. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify customers through our website or service. Continued use of the Gmail integration after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
